ACME Solar, an integrated renewable energy player in India, has placed an order for more than 3.1 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) with China-based Zhejiang Narada and Trina Energy. This marks one of the largest battery storage procurements in India to date and will support the deployment of BESS across ACME Solar’s multiple FDRE (firm & dispatchable renewable energy) and battery linked projects, scheduled for commissioning over the next 12-18 months across multiple states in India.
The BESS equipment delivery is planned in a phased manner over the next four to eight months of the current fiscal year.
“The order value of these systems is well within the budgeted cost enabling overall capex efficiency while maintaining focus on technical performance and supplier reliability,” stated ACME Solar. “Moreover, the early procurement of these systems would accelerate execution timelines and enable timely revenue realization.”
The BESS equipment conforms to global standards including IEC and UL, ensuring safety, performance and reliability.
ACME Solar has a diversified portfolio of 6,970 MW and 550 MWh spanning solar, wind, storage, FDRE and hybrid solutions. Its operational capacity stands at 2,890 MW with another 4,080 MW at various stages of implementation.
