Volks Energie announced today it has secured a second order from Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd (BPCL) for a solar PV and lithium-ion battery storage project. Under the latest contract, it will deploy a solar plus Li-ion battery and charger system for BPCL’s Irugur-Devangonthi petroleum and petroleum products pipeline along the route of Irugur (Tamil Nadu) to Devangonthi (Karnataka). The latest win follows a similar BPCL project secured for pipelines between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The solar plus storage system will provide off-grid power backup for pipeline control stations and operational infrastructure. These systems will ensure power for critical equipment like SCADA, Cathodic Protection and other power needs in remote stations across the pipeline.

“This is a significant development for Volks, as it reinforces the company’s growing prominence in EPC of Solar with Li-ion battery storage solutions for critical Oil & gas applications, empowering India with clean, future-proof, and sustainable energy solutions,” stated Volks Energie.

Volks Energie is a provider of energy storage solutions, HVAC, and solar energy systems in India. Its portfolio includes Ni-Cd and Lithium-ion batteries, battery chargers, HVAC systems tailored for industrial and extreme applications with minimal power consumption, and scalable solar energy solutions.
