Advait Energy Transitions and H.G. Infra Engineering have secured battery energy storage purchase agreements (BESPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for capacities allocated under GUVNL’s Phase IV tender.
Under the tender, Advait Energy Transitions was awarded 50 MW/100 MWh, while H.G. Infra Engineering secured 250 MW/500 MWh. These awards are part of GUVNL’s initiative to develop 500 MW/1000 MWh of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS), supported by the viability gap funding (VGF) scheme.
Both companies will develop their respective BESS projects on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. The facilities will be made available to GUVNL for charging and discharging on an “on-demand” basis.
