Solex Energy buys 800 MW module production line from Wuxi, GMEE Solar

Gujarat-based Solex Energy Ltd has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GMEE Solar and Wuxi Tidewinner Industrial International Co., Ltd for 800 MW capacity expansion with an investment of INR 700 million. This partnership will enhance Solex Energy’s module production capability to 1.5 GW by the end of September this year.

“By integrating advanced automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are setting new standards for quality and efficiency in PV module production. This move aligns perfectly with our vision for FY 2025-26 to expand our production capacity to 4.5 GW, catering to the growing global demand for high-quality Made in India modules for the world,” said Chetan Shah, chairman and managing director of Solex Energy Ltd.

Headquartered in Surat, Solex is the first Indian solar brand listed on NSE Emerge (stock code: SOLEX). Its factory in Tadkeshwar, Gujarat, currently has a 700 MW PV module production capacity.
