SJVN announced this week its arm SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL) has commissioned a 100 MW Raghanesda solar power project located in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat.
SGEL secured this PV project at a tariff of INR 2.64 ($0.032)/kWh through competitive tariff bidding conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). The power purchase agreement for the project has been signed with GUVNL for 25 years.
The cost of project development is INR 642 crore. When operational, the project will generate 252.3 million units (MUs) of electricity in the first year. The cumulative electricity generation over a period of 25 years is estimated at 5,805 MUs.
