Rays Power Infra Ltd has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Uttarakhand Government to build a 500 MW solar park in the state.
Ketan Mehta, managing director of Rays Power Infra, said the 500 MW solar park will not only fulfil a significant portion of the state’s power demands but will also act as a catalyst for economic growth and environmental preservation.
Rays Power Infra has a commissioned solar portfolio of 1.3 GWp. The company has initiated the development and execution of solar parks and plants aggregating to 2 GWp with expected commissioning in the next 24 months. It is also developing large-scale solar parks in Rajasthan, which will be utilized for setting up utility-scale and C&I projects. The company has also installed large-scale solar projects in Vietnam and Bangladesh and is expanding its presence across Asia and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.
