Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (RUVNL) has allocated 600 MW capacity in its 1.2 GW solar-with storage tender. Acme Solar won 500 MW at INR 6.69 ($0.081/kWh) and Solarcraft Power (BluPine Energy) 100 MW at INR 6.68.
The winning developers will set up solar power projects with assured supply from an energy storage system for at least six hours during the peak demand periods (from 6 am to 10 am, and 6 pm to 10 pm).
The projects are to be developed on a build-own-operate basis. These can be built anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission grid.
RUVNL will sign 25-year PPAs with the developers.
