NTPC, India’s largest power producer, has commissioned the first 100 MW portion of its 300 MW Nokhra solar project in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
The project is located in the Bikaner district and developed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India.
The project employs made-in-India PV cells and modules as per the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) clause of the CPSU Scheme.
The latest project is NTPC’s second PV commissioning in Rajasthan this month.
