Jharkhand mulling MW-scale canal-top solar at three sites

Share

Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has invited bids to prepare feasibility-cum-detailed project report for megawatt-scale canal-top solar power capacity in the State of Jharkhand. This canal-top PV capacity is proposed at three sites: Sikidiri canal in Ranchi; Chandil in East Singhbhum; and Godda.

The selected agency shall carry out the site survey of the canal proposed by JREDA on the potential of grid-connected solar PV capacity, technical analysis of data acquired from site survey including shadow-free area, irradiation studies, and energy generation estimation; and propose solar capacity for the identified site. With financial parameters from JREDA, it shall calculate the revenue model based on generation estimation and detailed economic/financial analysis.
