Ahmedabad based Gensol has won solar projects worth around Rs 45.86 crore in different states of India, including a Rs 19.87 crore project from state-owned Central Electronics Limited (CEL) to set up an aggregate 13.2 MWp solar capacity in Maharashtra.
The 13.2 MW project won in Maharashtra is part of a total 44 MW solar capacity tendered by CEL in December last year.
As per the CEL tender, the proposed solar power plants—in sizes ranging from 250 kWp to 10 MWp—shall come up at different sub-stations of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited. CEL will supply a minimum 310Wp of solar modules at the designated site store provided by the bidder.
Gensol will also build an aggregate 3.2 MWp rooftop solar capacity at various locations of Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) across India. The project value is around Rs 13.90 crore.
Among other projects secured by the EPC provider are 500 kWp grid-connected floating solar under CAPEX model for Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA), 2 MWp grid-connected solar plant in Bangalore for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and 100 kWp in Mumbai for Reserve Bank of India.
