Having tendered 34 MW (AC) last week, the Solar Energy Corporation of India has now invited bids to set up 32 MW grid-interactive solar capacity on coal miner Singareni Collieries Company Limited’s over burden dump at two sites in Peddapalli district of Telangana.

The plants—to be developed on turnkey basis—shall come up at Ramagundam (22 MW) and Dorli (10 MW) sites.

The total capacity of 32 MW shall be awarded to a single successful bidder selected through international competitive bidding followed by reverse auction.

However, there will be separate contract agreements for separate sites with the same successful bidder.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of cumulative 32 MW (AC) solar power plant along with 10 years of plant’s operation and maintenance (O&M).

Commissioning period is 12 months from the date of award of contract.

Plants can use mono-crystalline, multi-crystalline or thin-film solar cells with minimum efficiency of 17%, 16.5% and 16.5%, respectively. The cells and modules must be manufactured domestically in India, and must be included in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s list of Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules.
