Central Electronics tenders 50 MW solar projects in Maharashtra

Central Electronics Limited—the first Indian company to develop crystalline solar cells and modules in 1977-78—will provide the requisite developed land for the plants. In all, there will be 20-25 sites for 50 MWp solar plants, which are presently in the process of land development.

Plants above 2 MW will be considered in multiples of 2 MW.

To be eligible, the bidders must have cumulative turnover of Rs 12 crore in the last three financial years. Bidders are required to submit Rs 10 lakh as bank guarantee.

Scope of work

The selected developer shall be responsible for design, engineering, procurement and supply of equipment and materials (except solar modules); pre-dispatch testing at manufacturers works; packing, forwarding, receipt, unloading and storage at site; and installation, erection, testing and commissioning of grid-interactive solar plants. CEL will supply minimum 300 Wp of solar modules at designated site store provided by the bidder.

The developer shall also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of 10 years.

Project completion period is 120 days from the date of award or site handing, whichever is later. Projects are to be commissioned in multiples of 500 KW capacities only or as instructed by the project manager.
