Essel Infraprojects installs 55 MW solar in two Indian states

Essel Infraprojects has commissioned two large-scale solar parks in India sized 50 MW and 5 MW and located in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, and Bijapur, Karnataka, respectively.

The 50 MW solar PV project was awarded by Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) under the state policy of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The power generated will be sold to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).

The power producer said that it is managing 165 MW of solar projects in India and another 60 MW is expected to be commissioned in Karnataka within next two months.

“The company is aiming to increase its share in green energy through construction of massive solar projects in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Karnataka of 520 MW capacity in the near future,” Essel Infraprojects told Zee Business.

According to Essel Infraprojects, they have also been awarded two solar PV projects of 20 MW and 10 MW by Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) under the state policy of the Government of Punjab, in a PPA signed with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).
