Haryana tenders 30 MW rooftop solar for government buildings

Bidding closes on July 20 for installation and commissioning of grid-connected solar projects. The projects are to be set up in RESCO mode on government buildings across the state.

Uttar Pradesh tenders 25 MW rooftop solar under ‘RESCO’ mode

Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids to set up an aggregate 25 MW capacity of grid-connected rooftop solar systems at government/semi-government buildings in the state. The systems—in individual capacities of 25 kWp to 500 kWp—are to be installed under RESCO model on gross-metering basis. Bidding closes on August 12.

India: GST on li-ion batteries cut by 10%

India’s energy storage industry feels the government’s move to reduce GST on lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries from 28% to 18% will benefit electric vehicles and the renewables sector. The government has also cut GST on the raw materials for battery manufacturing, to jump-start domestic industry.

ISA releases RfPs for PV rooftop projects in member countries

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) has issued a request for proposals for solar PV rooftop demonstration projects in member countries under its Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model. The aim is to promote solar among ISA member countries.
