2636 EV charging stations sanctioned under Fame India Phase II

Of these, 1633 charging stations will be fast charging stations and 1003 slow charging stations. With this, about 14,000 charging stations will be installed across the selected cities.

5595 electric buses sanctioned under FAME II Scheme

Of these, 5095 e-buses have been allocated to 64 cities for intracity operation, 400 for inter-city operation and 100 for last-mile connectivity to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

3rd International Electric Vehicle Conclave to kick off tomorrow at Manesar

Jointly organised by India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) and The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), the conclave on EV and charging infrastructure will take place on August 9, 2019 at ICAT’s Manesar Campus in Gurugram with over a hundred participating companies.

FAME II: Proposals invited for deployment of 1000 EV charging stations

The charging stations should preferably be connected with grid-connected solar power plants of required capacity as per MNRE guidelines. The deadline for submission of the proposals is August 20.

Four solar based EV charging projects funded under FAME scheme

Proposals by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments, Jaipur to set up solar-based EV charging infrastructure have received funding under the government’s FAME India scheme. These projects will come up at Delhi NCR, Udyog Bhwan, and Delhi-Jaipur-Delhi, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai as well as Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi highways.
