Electric vehicle sales in India surged 42% YoY in FY2024
A new report by JMK Research says annual electric vehicle sales in India touched 1.67 million units in FY 2024, 42% up year-on-year. Among all segments, electric cars registered maximum YoY growth of 90% despite the availability of limited models in this segment.
Three Indian firms among Top 11 solar EPC contractors outside China in 2019
Although the Wiki-Solar website ranking only provides a snapshot of PV project engineering, procurement and construction contracts outside of China, it is nevertheless a useful indicator of the changing global solar market landscape. Swinerton was the largest solar EPC contractor outside China in 2019. Of the top 11 companies, three are based in India, three in the United States, another three in Spain and two in the United States.

Mahindra, Ford sign MoU to co-develop electric vehicle model
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Ford has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to co-develop electric vehicles for India and emerging markets. To support Mahindra’s EV roadmap, the company had signed an agreement with LG Chem for its lithium-ion batteries.
