Gujarat opens bidding for 500 MW/1 GWh of standalone battery storage

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. has started accepting bids to develop 1,000 MWh (500 MW x two hours) of grid-connected battery energy storage systems in Gujarat.

GUVNL tenders up to 1.5 GW of solar projects

Solar power generators have until August 23 to bid for setting up to 1.5 GW of grid-connected solar projects (including 750 MW under Greenshoe option) for power supply under a 25-year PPA.

Gujarat tenders 500 MW of renewables with storage

The selected developers shall set up grid-connected solar, wind or hybrid wind-solar projects on a ‘build-own-operate’ basis along with required energy storage systems for assured peak power supply. Bidding closes on July 30.

GUVNL seeks 1 GW of solar power

Torrent Power to acquire 25 MW solar plant, Reliance completes acquisition of 40% stake in Sterling & Wilson Solar 

The 25 MW solar project acquired by Torrent Power benefits from a a 25-year power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. Reliance New Energy Solar Ltd, a wholly-owned unit of Reliance Industries Ltd, now holds 40% of the total paid-up equity share capital of Sterling & Wilson Solar following acquisition of a further stake from its promoters. 

Gujarat launches EPC tender for 220 MW solar

Bidders have until February 1 to apply for the engineering, procurement, and construction of 220 MW of grid-connected solar projects anywhere in Gujarat.

GUVNL tenders for purchase of 500 MW solar power 

Solar power generators have until February 3 to bid for supplying the power from their proposed or under-construction PV projects under a 25-year PPA. 

Engie commissions 200 MW solar plant in Gujarat

The solar plant, spread across 380 hectares in the Raghanesda Solar Park, is Engie’s second-largest PV project in India. It was completed within the schedule, despite the multiple challenges during the Covid pandemic.

SJVN awarded 75 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh

The State-owned hydropower producer will sell the electricity generated from the solar project to Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) under a 25-year power purchase agreement. Tariff is fixed at INR 2.68/kWh (US$0.037/kWh).

India’s biggest coal producer secures first solar PPA

In its maiden venture into solar power generation, state-run Coal India Limited will set up a 100 MW plant and sell the electricity produced to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd for 25 years.
