SJVN to develop 1 GW solar under CPSU Phase II

The State-owned hydropower producer has landed one-fifth of the 5 GW grid-connected solar capacity tendered under the second phase of the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme. It won the project by quoting a viability gap funding (VGF) requirement of INR 44.72 lakh per MW.

IREDA extends bidding for 5 GW solar under CPSU Phase II 

State-owned power generators now have until June 15 to bid for setting up the capacity under the CPSU Phase II Scheme that allows the use of only India-made cells and modules for the projects. The selection would be made on the basis of the viability gap funding requirement per MW quoted by them to cover the cost difference with imported solar cells and modules. 

IREDA amends 5 GW solar tender

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency has extended the bidding to May 31 and amended the ceiling tariff, maximum viability gap funding, and commissioning timeline for the solar projects.

TCIL seeks EPC partners for 5 GW solar tendered under CPSU Scheme

Telecommunications Consultants India (TCIL) has issued an expression of interest to select EPC partners as it intends to bid for the 5 GW grid-connected solar capacity tendered for state-run generators. Installers have until March 24 to lodge their interest with TCIL.

Tata Power Solar bags 300 MW CPSU II project from NTPC

The grid-connected solar project—scheduled for commissioning in September 2021—is valued at Rs 1730.16 crore and will be developed using Tata Power’s own cells and modules.

SECI amends 2 GW solar tender for state-run power generators

Micro and mini grid-connected projects will also be considered. Further, SECI has notified waiver of ISTS charges and losses and 6-month extension in the commissioning date.
