Sentient Labs has launched a hydrogen fuel cell bus that runs on an indigenously developed hydrogen fuel cell and electric powertrain. The hydrogen fuel cell was developed in collaboration with the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) and Central Electro Chemical Research Institute under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. 

Delhi based Avanze Inventive will set up the Lithium-ion cells manufacturing unit in the state of Andhra Pradesh with the help of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB). The plant, with total size of 1 GW, will entail a total investment of Rs 1800 crore (US$ 256 million).

Dr Rashi Gupta, Director at Vision Mechatronics discusses the EV landscape in India, particularly focusing on the potential for battery manufacturing. While there are currently many challenges, like a lack of raw materials and infrastructure, the opportunities are immense.
