CEL invites EoI for battery energy storage system projects

Government-owned Central Electronics Limited has invited Expression of Interest for executing battery energy storage system projects on turnkey basis in India. The deadline for submission is July 31, 2019.

1.7 MW solar project with storage tendered for Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has invited bids for setting up of 1.7 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV projects with battery storage in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The projects—to be implemented on turnkey basis in Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) and Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)—would be awarded through competitive bidding followed by reverse auction.

NLC India issues tenders for Andaman storage project, $394 million in finance for 709 MW Tamil Nadu PV project

Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Ltd (NLCIL) has re-tendered the 2 x 10 MW grid-connected solar PV power project with the reduced 8 MWh battery energy storage capacity. It has also invited bids to lend INR 25.52 billion ($394 million) in finance required for the proposed 709 MW solar project in Tamil Nadu state.

Exicom to deploy 1 GWh energy storage solutions by 2018-19

Gurugram-based company EXICOM Tele-Systems Ltd has aimed to install 1 GWh of battery energy storage systems by 2018-19. The company has already deployed 125 charging stations for electric vehicles in Delhi-NCR.

NTPC sets 32 GW renewables target by 2032

To date, the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Ltd has installed roughly 1 GW of renewables in India. NTPC is planning several projects including floating solar and battery storage projects nationwide.
