The rooftop solar plant at ST COTTEX factory in Ludhiana uses 10,700 JA Solar 465 Wp mono PERC modules and 39 Sungrow inverters of 100 kW.

The Mumbai-based EPC solutions provider has executed a 10.2 MWp rooftop solar plant for Sportking India. The installation uses 18,500 high-efficiency 550 Wp mono PERC solar modules from Trina Solar.

Ahmedabad-based Gensol has won 15 MWp of “captive” solar projects in Goa, Gujarat and Punjab. The total project value is INR 37.5 crore ($4.86 million).

Punjab-based ST Cottex India is getting a 5 MWp rooftop solar plant installed at its yarn manufacturing unit in Ludhiana. Mumbai-based EPC solutions provider Roofsol Energy is doing the ‘OPEX’ mode installation.

The industry body wrote the State’s new bill to redetermine solar tariffs will render the already operating projects unviable and power producers will find it difficult to repay their loans. It sought the law minister’s intervention in highlighting their concerns to the President with whom the Bill is presently pending approval.

The state-owned hydropower producer has landed a 100 MW solar project from the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd at INR 2.69/kWh tariff.

Installers have until September 23 to submit their bids to set up different capacities of off-grid solar plants in Bathinda city. Techno-commercial bids will open on September 24.

Developers have until July 8 to bid for setting up the rooftop solar capacity in RESCO mode. The plants shall come upon various government and private buildings in the State.

The renewables-powered mini-grid with 50kW peak system capacity was recently installed at the residential colony of the institute’s Center for Excellence in Farm Machinery (CoEFM) in Punjab. It uses solar trees of different capacities and biodiesel-run generators to provide uninterrupted power. 

January 4 is the last date for EPC contractors, manufacturers and system integrators to submit techno-commercial bids for grid-connected rooftop solar capacity that shall come up in residential premises and residential welfare associations/group housing society premises in the state.
