The US-based solar tracker specialist, which manufactures in India in collaboration with local partners, has achieved 10 GW per annum of manufacturing capacity in India. The company has over 5 GW of systems under fulfilment or operational.

Brookfield and Axis Energy Ventures had earlier formed a joint venture platform ABC Renewables to develop renewable energy projects. The latest JV will have up to $845 million of equity investment by Brookfield. 

Tesla has submitted a proposal to the Indian government to set up a battery storage factory in India as the company looks to develop Powerwall business in the nation.

Silfab Solar says that it has invested $150 million in a new manufacturing operation in South Carolina. It has also released new residential and commercial solar panels.

Tata Power’s greenfield 4.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu is expected to start PV module production by the year end. 

India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and the U.S. Development Finance Corp. will provide up to $500 million each to anchor a $1 billion fund to support the deployment of renewable energy projects in India.

Indian manufacturer Navitas Solar has collaborated with US-based Sustainable Equity and Colby Solar to set up a module factory named Navitas Solar USA by Colby with a manufacturing capacity of 1.2 GW per annum.

C4V, a New York-headquartered lithium-ion cell technology company, has tied up with UAE-based Trot Solutions to develop green ports in India. The alliance has started to discuss with the port operators for its first green port project at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Terminal in India. 

India exported solar PV cells and modules worth INR 8,440 crore in FY 2022-23. USA was the top destination with a 97% share.
