Adani Total Gas Ltd will blend green hydrogen with natural gas for over 4,000 home and commercial piped natural gas (PNG) customers during the pilot phase. The project will assess the viability of green hydrogen as an alternative energy source for city gas distribution (CGD) consumers.

Engie secured the 400 MW solar project through competitive bidding in an auction by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). The project is set for commissioning by the second quarter of 2024.  

RenewSys will supply 100 MW of monocrystalline bifacial glass-backsheet modules for Engie India’s GUVNL 2 solar project.

India has installed an overall 72,018 MW of solar capacity as of Oct. 31, 2023. Grid-connected solar rooftops account for 15.38% of the cumulative installations.

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) is accepting bids to develop up to 1 GW of solar PV projects (including 500 MW under greenshoe option) for power supply to the state discom. The projects are to be set up on a build-own-operate basis and can be located anywhere in India.

Gujarat-based KOSOL Energie has added a new 1 GW production line that will produce TOPCon solar modules ranging from 580 Wp up to 715 Wp, in both mono-facial and bifacial variants.

Waaree Energies Ltd will supply 200 MW of its AHNAY 545 Wp bifacial modules to Engie India’s PV project in Gujarat.

Jakson Green has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Deendayal Port Authority to develop a green ammonia facility at Kandla Port in Gujarat. The plant is projected to produce 133,000 tons of green ammonia per annum. 

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd has secured its third solar EPC contract from NTPC REL in Khavda RE Power Park of Gujarat. The contract price, including three-year operation and maintenance, would be INR 1,535 crore (around $185 million).

KPI Green will build the 145.2 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Gujarat. The project is scheduled to be completed in the financial year 2024-25.
