Ahmedabad-based Gensol has won 15 MWp of “captive” solar projects in Goa, Gujarat and Punjab. The total project value is INR 37.5 crore ($4.86 million).

Mumbai-headquartered Waaree has supplied its 335 Wp polysilicon modules to Gujarat-based developer KPI Global Infrastructure, for projects in Bharuch district, Gujarat.

State-owned Hindustan Salts Ltd. has invited bids to build and operate 1 GW of solar capacity on 5,000 acres of disused land in the Indian state of Gujarat. The developer will pay Hindustan Salts a fixed annual rental fee for the land. Bidding closes on May 25.

Tata Power Renewables has commissioned a new 120 MW solar project in just five months. The installation uses 381,000 thin-film glass-on-glass modules with peak outputs of 440 W to 460 W.

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) has issued a tender to procure up to 500 MW of solar power from non-park-based PV projects and an additional 500 MW under the Greenshoe option. Bidding closes on May 18.

Tata Power Renewables Energy Ltd (TPREL), an arm of Tata Power arm, has commissioned a 300MW solar plant in Gujarat–the largest PV project utilizing single-axis trackers in India.

The solar project shall benefit from a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the state discom Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited at a fixed tariff of INR 2.29/kWh.

The Indian multinational EPC solutions provider has been awarded a 245MW solar power project in Rajasthan, and a 35MW(AC) PV capacity with 57MWh battery energy storage system in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

The Indian solar manufacturer has landed 50MW of module supply order from state-owned engineer and EPC company BHEL for Raghanesda Solar Park in Gujarat.
