The third edition of the Dr. BML Munjal Social Impact Awards 2025–26 spotlighted ordinary Indians doing extraordinary work, shifting the focus from celebrity to purpose-driven impact.

Hosted by Hero Future Energies, in association with the Raman Kant Munjal Foundation (RKMF), the awards ceremony was held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, honouring changemakers who have demonstrated strong local leadership while scaling grassroots innovations and building cross-sector collaborations. The awards reflect a growing recognition that India’s development challenges are best addressed through community-led solutions and sustained institutional support.

Instituted in memory of Dr. Brijmohan Lal Munjal, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Hero Group, the awards are rooted in his enduring belief that business must serve a larger purpose – “profit, for people and purpose.” Now in their third year, the awards are emerging as a credible platform recognising impactful social leadership across the country.

Speaking at the event, Rahul Munjal, Founder & Chairman, Hero Future Energies, said,
“These awards, in memory of Dr. Brijmohan Lal Munjal, have become an extension of his vision and our commitment to social welfare. Real change does not begin in boardrooms, it begins in classrooms, villages, and everyday lives.”

Pooja Munjal, Trustee, Raman Kant Munjal Foundation, added, “We are committed to building a culture where compassion, courage, and community leadership are celebrated. Each story we heard today reinforces that meaningful change is driven by individuals who act with purpose and conviction.”

The evening also featured a fireside conversation with acclaimed actor Neena Gupta, adding depth and reflection to the celebration. Known for her path-breaking career and unapologetic individuality, Neena spoke candidly about resilience, reinvention, and the courage to chart one’s own path. Her insights on breaking conventions and embracing authenticity resonated strongly with the audience, reinforcing the spirit of the awards.

The Dr. BML Munjal Social Impact Awards continue to spotlight individuals and organisations driving meaningful change at the grassroots, reinforcing the belief that sustainable progress is built through collective effort, purpose-driven leadership, and long-term commitment to communities.
