The overall energy outlay of Rs 6984.73 crore for the year 2020-21 is much lower than 2019-20’s revised estimate of Rs 11,639 crore.

Bidders now have until June 26 to bid for installation and commissioning of standalone off-grid solar water pumping systems in the State of Madhya Pradesh.

Researchers have simulated a cart-mounted solar pump which they say would mean farmers in off-grid areas would be able to irrigate fields by paying only for the solar electricity used.

The successful bidders shall supply balance-of-system (BOS) and install and commission the solar pumping systems with modules supplied by the Central Electronics Limited. Bidding closes on May 25.

Interested solar EPC contractors can now submit expressions of interest till April 30 to get empaneled with the state-owned Central Electronics Limited.

The New Delhi based lender—which has funded over 45 MW of distributed solar energy assets—will use the new investment to catalyze the growth of residential and commercial solar systems, solar pumps, floating solar and solar cold chains in India.

With Rs 118.27 crore in the current financial till February 10, Gujarat is way ahead among all states and union territories in getting the central financial support for new and renewable energy generation.

15 GW of utility scale and 8.5 GW grid-connected rooftop solar by year 2030 is the new target set for the state which is currently chasing year 2022 target of 6.4 GW and 4.3 GW, respectively.
