Floating Solar

New research shows that floating PV plants may have superior generating capabilities compared with ground-mounted PV plants in several areas of Bangladesh. Furthermore, the study indicates that floating arrays in the country may reach a levelized cost of energy ranging from $0.0341/kWh to $0.0486/kWh depending on the location.

The state-owned power producer is seeking consultants to evaluate the feasibility of developing floating solar PV plants on reservoirs of different States and union territories in India. 

Oil India has sought consultancy services for establishing 100 MW or above solar PV and wind energy power plants in any state in India. Applications can be submitted till June 27.

REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) seeks to empanel project management consultants for setting up solar PV plants (floating, ground-mount, and rooftop) across India.

Oriana Power has commissioned an 800 kW AC/1 MW DC floating solar power plant for JK Lakshmi Cement’s arm Udaipur Cement Works. The plant is located in Udaipur Cement Works’ Daroli Mines in Udaipur.

NHPC has invited domestic bids to set up a cumulative 350 MW of floating solar power capacity, which includes 300 MW in Odisha and 50 MW in Kerala.
