Meghmani Finechem raises 26% stake in wind-solar hybrid power plant

Chemical producer Meghmani Finechem has partnered with Renew Green Energy Solutions to develop an 18.34 MW wind-solar captive power project in Gujarat. The electricity will help it meet its power requirements and produce green hydrogen.

JA Solar supplies DeepBlue 3.0 modules for 225 MW PV plant

Chinese manufacturer JA Solar has supplied its M10 DeepBlue 3.0 modules for a 225 MW PV solar plant operated by JSW Energy in Karnataka. The modules have an efficiency rating above 21.0% and a power output of up to 545 W, with a 72-cell configuration.

Tata Power commissions 100 MW solar project in Maharashtra 

The solar installation, spread across 600 acres, will supply electricity to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).

Acme Solar commissions 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan

Indian developer Acme Solar has commissioned its largest single-location PV project so far. The solar project has a capacity of 300 MW and will supply electricity to Maharashtra.

Solar tariffs to rise 21% over the next 12 months

Solar tariffs will likely increase to INR 2.95 ($0.039)/kWh in the next 12 months, mainly due to the 40% basic customs duty on imported solar modules. 

India added 3 GW of solar in the first quarter

The solar capacity addition was led by Rajasthan, which accounted for 52% of 2022’s first quarter PV installations.
