Waaree Energies’ Board has approved the appointment of Jignesh Devchandbhai Rathod as whole-time director and CEO with effect from March 21, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval. Rathod has been appointed for a five-year term, ending March 20, 2031.
Notably, Rathod will assume the role earlier than initially planned. Waaree said in a stock exchange filing that the company has mutually agreed with Amit Ashok Paithankar to relieve him from his position as whole-time director and CEO with effect from March 20, 2026, earlier than May 15, 2026 as communicated earlier.
Rathod has been associated with Waaree Energies since Nov. 28, 2007, and currently oversees operational functions of the company’s manufacturing facilities.
