Pune-based Sorigin said its unit Sorigin RE Services has secured its first standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Rajasthan, featuring a capacity of 250 MW/500 MWh. The project has been awarded by one of India’s leading independent power producers.

The project comprises two installations of 125 MW/250 MWh each at Giral and Suratgarh, aimed at enhancing grid stability, managing peak demand, and supporting renewable energy integration.

Sorigin will provide an end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solution for the project.
