NTPC Green Energy Ltd has announced the commercial operation of the remaining 91.6 MW capacity of its 250 MW solar PV project in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
The project was developed by Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power, which is wholly owned by ONGC NTPC Green—a joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Ltd and ONGC Green Ltd.
The first tranche of 158.4 MW from the project had already commenced commercial operations in February this year.
The solar project operates under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corp. of India at a fixed tariff of INR 2.71/kWh.
Following the commissioning of the remaining 91.6 MW capacity of the Kadapa project, NTPC Green Energy’s total installed capacity has increased to 9,292.68 MW.
