ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has secured a 301 MW renewable energy project integrated with 1,204 MWh of energy storage under Solar Energy Corp. of India’s (SECI) FDRE-VII tender.
The project will deliver 1,204 MWh of assured peak power daily—equivalent to 301 MW for four hours—at a fixed tariff of INR 6.28/kWh. The formal letter of award is expected shortly.
With this award, ACME Solar’s total contracted capacity has reached 8,071 MW, spanning solar, wind, storage, hybrid, FDRE, and round-the-clock (RTC) power solutions.
The project was awarded under SECI’s tender for the development of 1.2 GW of renewable energy capacity coupled with energy storage systems, aimed at supplying 4.8 GWh of assured peak power daily. Under the tender conditions, developers are required to provide 4 MWh of energy storage per MW of contracted capacity for any four hours per day during non-solar hours, with minimum availability requirements of 70% on a monthly basis and 85% annually.
ACME Solar said the project will combine solar generation with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and will utilize the company’s existing nighttime grid connectivity to meet the supply requirements.
ACME Solar Holdings’ portfolio includes 2,962 MW of operational capacity and 5,109 MW under construction, along with approximately 17 GWh of BESS installations. The company’s under-construction portfolio with signed power purchase agreements stands at 2,668 MW.
