Onix Renewable Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Gujarat for large-scale renewable energy deployment in the State.
Under the MoU, Onix Renewable Ltd has proposed the establishment of a green ammonia production facility at Fulzar, Taluka Vinchiya, District Rajkot, with an investment of INR 10,000 crore. The project is envisaged to create around 1,500 employment opportunities, with commercial operations targeted to commence in 2028.
Additionally, Onix Renewable Ltd has proposed the implementation of PM-KUSUM Component-C projects at multiple locations across Gujarat, with a total proposed investment of INR 121 crore and INR 280 crore. These projects are scheduled for commencement in 2026 and are expected to generate approximately 680 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The initiative will significantly contribute to decentralized solar power generation, grid strengthening, and enhanced energy access for agricultural and rural consumers.
The company has also proposed underground cable works at multiple locations, involving a proposed investment of INR 75 crore. These projects are planned to commence in 2026 and are expected to generate approximately 200 employment opportunities.
