Juniper Green Energy has announced the successful commissioning of an additional 72 MWp solar component of its 133 MWp hybrid power project in Solapur district, Maharashtra. The plant was commissioned through its subsidiary, Juniper Green Spark Ten, an impressive 10 months ahead of schedule.
With this milestone, Juniper Green Energy has commissioned the hybrid project’s solar capacity in two phases—approximately 36 MWp on Sep. 25, 2025, followed by 72 MWp on Jan. 10, 2026. The Juniper Green Spark Ten project has a power purchase agreement (PPA) capacity of 133 MWp hybrid, comprising a contracted 108 MWp of solar power and an additional 25 MW of installed wind capacity.
The PPA for the project was signed on Nov. 18, 2024, with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL), and the scheduled commercial operations date (SCOD) is set for Nov. 17, 2026.
The commissioning of the solar component marks a crucial step toward the full operationalisation of the hybrid project.
Commenting on the achievement, Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer, Juniper Green Energy, said,
“With the project’s solar component now fully operational, Juniper Green Energy has once again demonstrated its ability to commission projects ahead of schedule. This achievement highlights our significant contribution to India’s increasing need for clean energy.”
Following this commissioning, the company’s total operational capacity now stands at 1.66 GWp.
