Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd, a manufacturer of energy-efficient pumps and motors, has secured an order from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd (KREDL) for the installation of 16,780 solar PV water pumping systems. The aggregate order value is INR 654.03 crore (inclusive of GST). The order has been awarded under Component B of the PM-KUSUM Scheme, which aims to de-dieselize the agri-irrigation sector by promoting the installation of off-grid, stand-alone solar agriculture pumps with subsidy support.
This maiden order in Karnataka marks Shakti Pumps’ entry into the southern region, significantly expanding its geographical presence and opening new market opportunities.
The Karnataka order is the latest in a series of order wins over the past month across multiple states, including Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. Cumulatively, these orders amount to approximately ₹1,900 crore (inclusive of GST), further strengthening the company’s order book.
