Bondada Engineering Ltd has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Transmission Corp. of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (AP TRANSCO) for the development of a 225 MW/450 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project.
Under the contract, Bondada Engineering will develop the project on a build–own–operate (BOO) basis. The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the date of receipt of the LoA.
With this award, Bondada Engineering’s cumulative BESS portfolio has reached nearly 1 GWh.
The company said the order is strategically significant as it establishes a long-term, annuity-based revenue stream, enhancing revenue stability, cash flow visibility, and return predictability.
The total consideration for the project is around INR 627 crore.
