Waaree Energies Ltd has secured a major order for the supply of 1.5 GW of solar modules and commenced production from its newly installed PV inverter manufacturing lines.
The company said it has received an order for 1,000 MW of DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) compliant modules and 500 MW of non-DCR modules. The order has been placed by a well-established customer engaged in power generation, transmission and distribution. Supplies under the contract are scheduled to be executed during the financial year 2026–27.
In a parallel development, Waaree announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Waaree Power, has commenced operations at its new solar inverter manufacturing facility in Sarodhi–Valsad, Gujarat. The facility houses two inverter manufacturing lines, each with an annual capacity of 1.525 GW, taking the total installed inverter capacity to 3.05 GW.
Commercial production at the plant began on December 29, 2025, marking a key milestone in the group’s expansion into power electronics
