GREW Solar has secured a major contract from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) to manufacture and supply 1,464.5 MW (approximately 1.5 GW) of high-efficiency solar PV modules for renewable energy projects across multiple locations in Uttar Pradesh. The cumulative contract value stands at INR 2,028.33 crore, marking one of the largest module supply partnerships under NTPC REL’s current renewable energy programme.

Under the agreement, GREW Solar will supply advanced, high-efficiency solar PV modules manufactured using cutting-edge technology and supported by stringent quality standards. The modules will be deployed across multiple project sites and are expected to play a pivotal role in supporting NTPC REL’s renewable energy expansion, while advancing India’s long-term clean energy transition and decarbonisation objectives.

“Partnering with NTPC Renewable Energy Limited on one of India’s most significant solar initiatives reflects both the trust in our technology and the shared commitment to a sustainable future,” said Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director, GREW Solar. “At GREW Solar, we see each project as more than a supply order, it’s a responsibility to power progress with integrity, precision, and purpose.”

Backed by the Chiripal Group’s 52-year legacy of manufacturing excellence, GREW Solar has rapidly scaled its operational manufacturing capacity to 3 GW since its inception in 2022. The company is currently expanding its Dudu (Rajasthan) facility to 11 GW, positioning it among India’s largest AI-powered, integrated solar PV module manufacturing plants, complete with a state-of-the-art in-house R&D laboratory.

Looking ahead, GREW Solar plans to establish an initial 3.0 GW solar PV cell manufacturing plant at Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, followed by a capacity expansion to 8.0 GW by the end of 2026 at the same location. This expansion will enable backward integration and further strengthen the company’s manufacturing ecosystem.
