Hinduja Renewables Energy Pvt Ltd (HREPL), part of Hinduja Group, has appointed Deepak Thakur as managing director and chief executive officer, effective from October 1, 2025.
Thakur has over three decades of diverse experience across renewable energy, infrastructure, industrial products, and electronics. He has held leadership roles at multiple organizations including the Mahindra Group, Reliance, Sterling & Wilson, L&T, Honeywell, and Thermax. His experience spans the full renewable energy value chain across solar, wind, storage, and hybrid systems covering project development, EPC, O&M, upstream technology, manufacturing, and asset monetisation through InvITs.
Thakur succeeds Sumit Pandey, who has stepped down from his position.
