ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has secured a Letter of Award for a 50 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project from Tata Power-D—a licensed electricity distribution company and a part of Tata Power Co. Ltd. It had secured the project at a tariff of INR 4.43/kWh in a 250 MW FDRE tender floated by Tata Power-D.
The FDRE tender was floated under tariff-based competitive guidelines (TBCB) with an e-reverse auction conducted on August 13, 2025. The project will be required to maintain a minimum annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 40% and ensure four hours of peak-hour supply with 90% availability on a monthly basis.
ACME Solar stated it will develop the project combining multiple renewable energy technologies including solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) to meet the supply obligations for PPA duration of 25 years. The project is scheduled for commissioning within 24 months from the PPA signing.
