PNC Infratech has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from NHPC for the development of a 300 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power project, integrated with a 150 MW/600 MWh energy storage system. This project is part of NHPC’s larger tender for a cumulative 1.2 GW of solar power capacity, coupled with 600 MW/2400 MWh of energy storage.
PNC secured the project through tariff-based competitive bidding followed by a reverse auction, quoting a tariff of INR 3.13/kWh.
As the intermediary procurer, NHPC will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with PNC. The project is expected to commence power supply within 24 months from the date of PPA signing.
