Oriana Power Ltd has emerged as the winning bidder in Solar Energy Corp. of India’s (SECI) third e-reverse auction for green ammonia by quoting a tariff of INR 52.25/kg ($600/tonne) for 60,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA). The green ammonia will be supplied to Madhya Bharat Agro Products in Madhya Pradesh.
This follows green ammonia prices INR 55.75/kg and INR 51.80/kg discovered in SECI’s previous auctions for production and supply of green ammonia under SIGHT Scheme.
The awarded capacity is part of SECI’s broader tender for 724,000 MTPA of green ammonia, spread across 13 locations nationwide.
Oriana Power’s bid is 47.9% lower than the $1,153/tonne price observed in the recent international H2Global auction, marking a significant cost breakthrough for India’s green hydrogen economy.
