RenewSys, an integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules and components, hosted India’s first-ever PV components technology conclave, Anusandhan, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The landmark event follows the company’s recent announcement to expand its encapsulant production capacity to 30 GW with the commissioning of a new manufacturing facility in Khopoli.

At the conclave, RenewSys showcased its newly developed anti-acid EVA encapsulant. Specially engineered to combat cell metal corrosion, this material significantly reduces acetic acid formation, thereby protecting PV modules from power degradation and premature field failure.

The company also unveiled its 300 TN green backsheet designed for bifacial solar modules. This eco-friendly backsheet minimizes environmental impact without compromising on electrical or mechanical performance. Suitable for both 1,000V DC and 1,500V DC systems, it supports customers in achieving their sustainable manufacturing goals.

Another highlight was the 300 TF SB super-barrier backsheet, built specifically for moisture-sensitive TOPCon modules. It delivers a moisture permeability of just 0.3 to 0.35 g/m²/day, setting a new standard in module protection.

“Anusandhan is a token of our innovation and knowledge-sharing to the solar community. It is in alignment with MNRE and ALMM goals of DCR modules. Our latest products are a testament to our continuous investment in R&D, ensuring longer module life, improved sustainability, and higher performance,” said Avinash Hiranandani, vice chairman and managing director at RenewSys.
