ReNew Q4 profit soars 415% YoY on solar manufacturing boost

ReNew Energy Global Plc has reported a strong performance for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, driven by its solar manufacturing business and continued expansion of clean energy portfolio.

The company stated its Q4 net profit soared to INR 313.7 crore ($37 million), up nearly 415% from INR 60.9 crore in Q4 FY24. Total Income for the quarter stood at INR 3,439.1 crore, up from INR 2,477.6 crore. Manufacturing business contributed INR 991.4 crore in revenue from external sales of solar modules and cells, with net profit of INR 220 crore.

For the full fiscal year FY 2025, net profit was INR 459.1 crore, compared to INR 414.7 crore in FY 2024. Total income was INR 10,907 crore, up from INR 9,653.1 crore in FY 2024. Manufacturing business contributed INR 1,337.3 crore in revenue from external sales of PV modules and sales. Net profit from external sales of PV modules and sales was INR 262.3 crore.

RE portfolio

ReNew’s renewable energy portfolio stood at 17.3 GW as of March 31, 2025, up from 13.5 GW as of March 31, 2024. Since then, the company has signed 1.2 GW in power purchase agreements, bringing its total portfolio to 18.5 GW, plus 1.1 GWh of battery energy storage systems.

Commissioned capacity increased 12.4% year-on-year to 10.7 GW (net of 300 MW of assets sold during FY25) as of March 31, 2025. It has since increased to 11.2 GW with an additional 466 MW (436 MW solar and 30 MW wind) commissioned after the fiscal-year-end.

The company has annual manufacuting capacity of 6.5 GW solar modules and 2.5 GW cells.
