Army Solar building 3 GW TOPCon module factory in Surat

Gujarat-based Army Looms and Textile has ventured into renewable energy to manufacture high-quality solar PV modules. Army Solar, the company’s PV manufacturing business, is building a 3 GW TOPCon solar PV module manufacturing facility in Surat.

Praful Radadiya, co-founder and managing director of Army Solar, told pv magazine their AI-based PV module factory will start production by the end of April this year. The factory will produce TOPCon and mono PERC modules. The product line includes 16-busbar n-type TOPCon modules featuring an output of 650 Wp and conversion efficiency of 22.36%.

Radadiya said they target to double their production capacity before year 2030.
