NTPC allocates 1.2 GW wind-solar hybrid capacity at $0.039/kWh

NTPC has awarded 1.2 GW of wind-solar hybrid capacity at an average price of INR 3.29 ($0.039)/kWh.

Evergreen Renewables, through its special-purpose vehicle Green Prairie Energy III, secured 200 MW at a competitive tariff of INR 3.28/kWh. Datta Infra won 70 MW at the same price.

The balance capacity was allocated to Adani Renewable Energy (600 MW), Sembcorp Green Infra (300 MW) and ReNew Solar Power (30 MW) at INR 3.29/kWh.

The successful bidders will develop projects on a build-own-operate basis. The projects can be located anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission grid.
