SJVN expects to commission 6,828 MW of solar and wind capacity in fiscals 2025 and 2026 together. This will include 2,498 MW in FY 2025 and 4,330 MW in FY 2026.

SJVN is also in the process of preparing detailed project reports for pumped storage projects, including a 2.4 GW pumped storage project (PSP) in Mizoram, which will take around one-and-a-half year. Once the feasibility established, it plans to bring out a tender to award construction of the PSP project in Mizoram.

SJVN recently formed a joint venture with Indian Oil Corp. to jointly undertake projects in renewable power generation and green hydrogen space. The two partners will also be collaborating in the EV charging space.

SJVN targets 25 GW of power generation capacity by 2030, with more than half to come from solar and wind resources. The company’s consolidated total income for the FY 2023-24 was INR 2,877 crore and it earned profit of INR 911.44 crore.

In the fourth quarter of financial year 2023-24, SJVN through its subsidiary bagged five solar projects with a capacity of 2,252 MW through open competitive bidding process.
