NTPC launches 1.5 GW solar tender

NTPC has invited global bids to set up 1.5 GW of solar power projects in India. The projects can be developed anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission system.

The projects will be awarded through international competitive bidding followed by reverse auction. The prospective developers will develop the project on a build-own-operate basis.

Bidding closes on March 5.
