WattPower signs 1.2 GW string inverters supply deal with ReNew

WattPower Systems has signed a contract to supply 1.2 GW of string inverters for multiple RE projects of ReNew across India. The contract value is close to INR 200 crore ($24.4 million).

Pavit Gandhi, sales director at Wattpower Systems, told pv magazine the supply contract is for multiple pv projects. Out of 1.2 GW, Wattpower Systems will supply 1 GW by December 2023 and the balance by March 2024.”

Sivaprasad Manikkapurath, executive vice president of ReNew Power, said this [deal] is a part of our total target of 5 GW of solar projects by 2024.
