State-owned hydropower producer NHPC has invited domestic bids to set up 75MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar power projects anywhere in India for sale of energy through power exchange. The selected bidder shall be responsible for engineering, procurement and construction, along with five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance support for the plant.
To be eligible, the bidder should have executed, as an EPC contractor or developer, a cumulative grid-connected solar capacity of 40MW or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10MW.
Or, it should have executed in the last ten years an industrial project either as a developer or as EPC contractor in the area of power, steel, oil and gas, petro-chemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining including coal handling plant and/or any other process industry, or in infrastructure development, with a value of minimum INR 150 crore in a single project. The same project should be in successful operation for at least one year prior to the last date of bid submission. Also, it should have executed at least one electrical sub-station of 33kV or above voltage level, either as developer or EPC contractor, which should be in successful operation for at least one year.
